How does the Tax Vault work?+
Every time you receive income, Apexa automatically sets aside your estimated tax percentage into a separate vault held by Stripe Treasury. This money is FDIC-insured and untouchable until tax time. When quarterly taxes are due, you simply pay from the vault.
Does Apexa hold my money?+
No. Apexa never holds, manages, or has access to your funds. All banking is through Stripe Treasury (FDIC-insured). All investing is managed by DriveWealth LLC (FINRA/SIPC member). All tax calculations are powered by Tight. Apexa is the dashboard that connects everything.
How accurate are the tax estimates?+
Our estimates use current federal and state tax brackets, self-employment tax rates, QBI deductions, and your specific filing status. They are powered by Tight's tax engine. However, tax estimates are not tax advice — always consult a licensed CPA for filing.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. All subscriptions can be cancelled anytime with no penalty. Your data remains accessible and your connected accounts (Stripe, Plaid, DriveWealth) stay active independently of Apexa.
How do agency payouts work?+
Agencies process payouts through Stripe Connect. You set the split percentage per creator (e.g., 80/20). When you hit "Process Payouts," each creator receives their share automatically. Their portion then auto-splits into tax vault, investing, and spending. Processing fees are 1.5-2.5% depending on your plan.
Is my data secure?+
Yes. Bank linking is through Plaid (256-bit encryption, bank-level security). Apexa never sees your bank login credentials. All financial data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We are SOC 2 compliant.
